Fallen [Evanescence]


Fallen is one of those albums you have to be in the mood to listen to. But if I am in the mood for some dark rock with some powerfull female vocals, then this album fits the bill nicely. It is consistently good, with one or two outstanding songs to boot. The first single Bring Me To Life is a fantastic tune which I didn't think could be topped, especially not by a slow ballady type song, but 'Hello' is a classic. One of those songs you have to just stop what you're doing and listen.
If you're not in the mood, this album can sound very samey and average as one heavy guitar song blends into the next, but there are a few slow ones in the mix to keep it interesting.
Worth listening to for tracks 2 and 9 alone.
